American white oak is a heavy and strong wood, with good dimensional stability and resistance to wear and tear. Please note – Natural products can vary in appearance, colour & quality. We also stock other hardwoods including, Ash 38mm, Beech 38mm & Sapele 25mm / 50mm / 63mm.
- Planed All Round (PAR) Finish – Finished Size is approximately 6mm less EX values.
- The colour of American White Oak varies from pale yellow-brown to biscuit with a subtle pink tint.
- It has a straight grain, which adds to its aesthetic appeal. – The texture is medium to coarse, giving it a unique feel.
- Additionally, it is known for its ability to be easily nailed or screwed, and it can be stained and polished to achieve a beautiful finish. Pre-drilling may be necessary before nailing.
- Common uses include – Cabinetry, furniture, interior trim, flooring, boatbuilding, barrels, and veneers.
