Beech is an important and widely-used hardwood in Europe. Its hardness, wear-resistance, strength, and excellent bending capabilities. Please note – Natural products can vary in appearance, colour & quality. We also stock other hardwoods including, American White Oak 25mm / 38mm / 50mm, Ash 38mm & Sapele 25mm / 50mm / 63mm.
- Planed All Round (PAR) Finish – Finished Size is approximately 6mm less EX values.
- The colour of beech wood can vary, ranging from a very pale pink to brown.
- It has a straight grain, which gives it a sleek and uniform appearance
- Beech wood has a medium resistance to both hand and machine tools, and it is recommended to pre-drill before nailing. It also takes stains well, allowing for customisation and enhancing its natural beauty.
- Common uses include – Veneers, flooring, boatbuilding, furniture, cabinetry, musical instruments, plywood, and turned objects.
